Lt. Read wondered if there was a local bylaw guiding the signage. He offered to get a <br /> new sign. <br /> I <br /> I <br /> Lt Read reported on enforcement activity on the lake. Eight incidents were.called in by phone.13 vessels <br /> were stoppedand one citation was written. There has been reduced patrolling thin year due to the <br /> economy with emphasis on Sat. & Sunday PM. Members are concerned about increased re kl ss boating <br /> activity on the lake. %en asked if assistant harbormasters were trained to write tickets he mentioned that <br /> this was now a non issue as the department was paw of the Police Dept. and the officer could write the <br /> ticket. Lt. Read and guest Mimi Joseph both felt that Assistant Harbormaster,Fete PresQott was doing <br /> Zvvu J LIU. <br /> Lt. Read mentioned that a gift check,received that day, would allow for 162.8 extra patrol hours for the <br /> Harbormaster on Mashpe•- a.keby. They planned to cover the lake for 8 hours Sat. and Sunday and <br /> another random 20 hours during the week. <br /> The signage on the harbormaster boat had not been changed to "hash ee Police Marine Patrol"yet due to <br /> the time of replacing the engine on the boat due to a fire. The new lettering was .available and would <br /> be put on soon. Lt.
