7[Age
n a: i ` ' a c d; irrrit +
Discussion:There is no new information gathered on boating speeds on neighboring lakes. Mike
Richardson rationed that he thought trying to increase patrols to enforce existing rules, rather than
trying to charge state laws might be more effective. He felt there'may be more funding for harbormaster
coverage this summer. Barbara mentioned that Lt Read said last fall that there were still donated funds
available left from last season.
Conclusions: Barbara will write Lt. Read asking for'r ore patrols to increase compliance of boaters to the
boating rules.
[ '= ie ]:l ei` r b '.. ecruit nt`.
Discussion: Joanne Smitb was our guest tonight. She was interested in finding out more about our
committee. She 1s trying to decide if the time commitment to be a member would fit in with her work
schedule,
Conclusions- We hope to find a replacement member soon.
t. Bill Taylor did not'feel boaters
should-arrive at 5 ASI for a ' AM start. The biggest concern to all members was the 3 evening
tournaments, two of which finish at 12 MN and 2AM. Discussion was held about how to voice our
displeasure, and it was decided to ate Lt Read, who is the acting Harbormaster with our concerns.
Barbara will email him shortly as tournaments, start April 16'h. We are not aware of any Town regulations
for night tournaments. We feel that should be addressed.
Conclusions: There is increased activity by bass toumam nt participants in early morning and late n ht
g i
lours.
The meeting was adjourned at 8-.29 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
Barbara B. Nichols
