Mashpee Library Expansion Committee Minutes of 7uno IS, 2002 page -2- The Library Board discusses that is judicious to wast until the funds are in hand to move forward.in the design phase. ToIce Mason suggests we can get through the first phase and be. ready with our existing funds to move forward. Fmu"t for Proposal Ms. Mason says the 9FIP loorcs. good with some minor changes. The nexfi move is the send it to the Central Register. The Town Counsel has accepted this format as well. The Library 5oard discusses some minor details with Ms. Mason regarding dates, etc. Mr. 5urfion 'snforms the library Trustees of the procoss the Sui[ding Committee is going through with the Town to have this new library built. A discussion of gifts as contributions to the library Grund is addressed. All monetary gifts during the construction phase must go through the town account. The mush be represented properlj. The 5oard of Selectmen has assigned Mr. Ken Marstecs as the new liaison for the Mashpee Library Expansion Committee. He will be replacing Mr. Wayne Taylor in this capacity. Ms. Mason suggests the October meeting would be, a good one for any infieresfied members of the Library Committee to attend. New 5usinass: Kevin Connolly brings up the issue of maintaining a quorum at the building committee meetings. Mr. 61natian has resigned due to family obligations and others have commitments throughout the summer months. Six people are needed to provide a quorum and there have been a couple of meetings where this need has not been met. The Board agrees to move the meetings the second Tuesday of each month for the summer. This will also coincide with the Library Trustees meetings and will provide a better opportunity for a quorum to be met since several members are on both boards. As it stands now, Tuesday, July qth will be the next meeting for the FJailding Committee.
