The Sunday concert Seriesprogram to date <br /> k8s' yielded a total f 1 o. Other donations, including the$6000 donation from the'Frie'nds of <br /> the iashpa Library building fund,.total.$7345. Two bank accounts have been established: <br /> 1. Checking account with $2700. This account is to be used for expenses rented to the <br /> fundraising off rt. - <br /> 2., Money Market.account with$6000. This interest-bearing account will be the depository for <br /> donations to the building fund. <br /> It was agreed th t there-wasan immediate.need for an individual to be designated as a record keeper for <br /> the newly established bank accounts. This person will be responsible for collecting and depositing <br /> -donations, keeping track of monies depositedlwithdrawn, and writing checks when needed. This same 4 <br /> person would also handle the follow-up than u rotes to' donors. A job description will be pint together . <br /> for the position with a dollar amount per hour established. The erson'must be someone T <br /> ' p n the <br /> Library Building Committee 6r.a Trustee of the Friends of the Ma' shpee Library. <br /> Cindy has designed a logo fr.Frlends of the Library for stationary, brochures, etc. <br /> 41 Cindy requested that an alternate hostess for the remaining Sunday concerts be designated, to <br /> —-assist-h r with-this-resp n'sibilit rt--.Sdnn -M rritt-volunteered Ao-fill--this-spot.-- <br /> IMAI RAfDALL REPORT <br /> lam Randall stated that he expects to'complete the d siphase of the new librarywithin the next two <br /> weeks. gn p <br /> Exterior Materials.'- Outside material possibilities include stone, granite,-and 12 x 24 pre-cast concrete <br /> blocks.,ci pb.oard and wood are not recommended because of their high maintenance nc a costs. Roofing <br /> material could be either slate or asphalt. lam will be researching some vinyl types of materials-es well <br /> and will do.a cost analysis on these materials f r consideration by the committee. <br /> Issues of eonce'm. <br /> lam stated he is concerned that his design has gone too far-in.--downgrading the backside of the <br /> building compared with the front and.sines. a plans t concentrate on this problem in the next <br /> t�+ + in order to correct the situation. <br /> Expansion possibilities are limited on both sides of the proposed design. A rfirst floor expansion <br /> p r.. <br /> would have to o back toward the parking area, which would necessitate omolffion work. The <br /> committee stressed the need to build flexibility into the building flan to provide for future <br /> expansion.. It was stated again that to consider adding a basement at this time would add a <br /> additional $250,000 to$300,000 to t-hcost of the building. <br /> • The children's vying and the 11eeti .,doom,.on either side of the proposed structure need to be <br /> worked on further in order to better r flect the traditional co' nservativef-New England look. lam <br /> agreed that he is struggling with this issue and plans to concentrate on corning up with a more <br /> acceptable design. <br />
