Lin requesting a <br /> Special Permit under §174-45.4 of the Zoning Bylaws for a change in ownership of an <br /> existing permitted accessory apartment on property located in an R-5 Zoning District,Map <br /> 41 Parcel 56, Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A.Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper of <br /> general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on September 1,2017 and September 8, 2017 <br /> a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A §9 and the Town of Mashpee <br /> Zoning By-laws. <br /> Public Hearings were held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at which time the following members of the Board of <br /> Appeals were present and sitting in on this hearing; Chairman, Jonathan Furbush, Vice <br /> Chairman, William Blaisdell, Board Members, Dom DeBarros and Scott Goldstein, and <br /> Associate Member Norman J. Gould. <br /> Ms. Susan E. Lin, represented herself as the new owner of the property that has an <br /> existing accessory studio apartment on the first level that's approximately 500 square feet. <br /> It has three means of egress, one is through the garage doors, the front door that leads to <br /> the basement, and a pop-out window with a Iadder. There has not been any other structural <br /> changes to the home. <br /> Chairman Furbush read the Board of Health, Inspection Department, and <br /> Conservation comments into the record. <br /> Mr. Furbush wanted to confirm that the fire department did an inspection of the <br /> property. Ms. Lin said it was done at the time of the sale. <br /> There were no more comments from the Board and no abutters present. <br /> 1 <br />
