Galante and Bk. 4: 23997 <br /> Robin Galante Page 4: 334 <br /> 164 Captains Row <br /> Map 96 Parcel 28 <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> A Petition was filed on May S, 2017 by Owners, Mark R. Galante and Robin <br /> Galante requesting a Written Finding under §174-17 of the Zoning Bylaws to allow for <br /> construction of an 10' x 18' addition on property located in an R-3 Zoning District, at 164 <br /> Captains Row, Map 96 Parcel 28,Mashpee,MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A.Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper of <br /> general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on May 12,2017 and May 19, 2017 a copy of <br /> which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A §6 and the Tow of Mashpee <br /> Zoning By-laws. <br /> Public Hearings were held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at which time the following members of the Board of Appeals <br /> were present; Chairman, Jonathan Furbush, Vice Chairman, William Blaisdell, Board <br /> Members,Dom DeBarros,and Scott Goldstein,and Associate Member,Brad Pittsley.Also <br /> present was Building Commissioner, Michael Mendoza. <br /> Mr. Steve Cook with Cotuit Bay Design represented the homeowners who own the <br /> ranch-style house that runs along the Mashpee River.The small addition will be in the front <br /> of the house but was moved backed 13.6 ft. from the property line. <br /> The existing house was constructed in 1960 and is angled on the lot. The house is <br /> 12.9 ft. from the right side property line. He said that Conservation Commission approved <br /> the project and meets all flood zone requirements for a lateral addition. He is requesting <br /> the Board approve the addition that will become a study and a bathroom. It will have a 6 <br /> ft. cased opening into the living room. <br /> Chairman Furbush read the Conservation, Board of Health and Inspection <br /> Department comments into the record. <br /> 1 <br />
