Fietek and Doc. #: 1085082 <br /> Kari Fietek Ctf. #: 185459 <br /> 38 Shorewood Drive <br /> (Map 58 Parcel 39) <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> A Petition was filed on December 5, 2016 by Owners, Andrew J. and Kari Fietek <br /> requesting a Written Finding under §174-17 of the Zoning Bylaws to allow for an 8 x 12 <br /> addition, and an alteration to a pre-existing, non-conforming single-family dwelling <br /> located in an R-5 Zoning District, 38, Shorewood Drive, Map 58 Parcel 39,Mashpee,MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A.Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper of <br /> general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on December 16, 2016 and December 23, <br /> 2016 a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A §6,and the Town of Mashpee <br /> Zoning By-laws. <br /> Public Hearings were held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at which time the following members of the Board of <br /> Appeals were present; Chairman, Jonathan Furbush, Vice Chairman, William Blaisdell, <br /> Board Member, Dom DeBarros, and Associate Members, Brad Pittsley and Norman J. <br /> Gould. Also present was Building Commissioner, Michael Mendoza. <br /> Ms. Jean Bowden, with Capizzi Home Improvement represented the homeowners <br /> for their house project. She provided the Board with a rendering of the new addition, a site <br /> plan, and photos of the current house. Also present was Andrew Fietek, homeowner. Mr. <br /> Fietek is proposing an addition to extend the kitchen to improve the living space for his <br /> family. The house was built in 1977 and sits on a lot size of 13,896 square feet.The current <br /> space of the kitchen is not conducive for their needs., and he would like to create a more <br /> functional area for his family. <br /> Mr. Furbush read two letters into the record; one from an abutter who resides at 30 <br /> Shorewood Drive who is in favor of the addition, and one from an abutter who resides at <br /> 16 Quail Hollow Road who is also in favor of the addition. <br /> 1 <br />
