Gallagher and Doc. #: 1307034
Regina L. Lawson Ctf. #: 129578
67 Monahansett Road
(Map 123 Parcel 97)
Mashpee, MA 02649
A Petition was filed on February 24, 2017 by Cary Orlandi, for a minor
modification to an approved Written Finding (Finding-2016-34). Minor modifications
were made to the site plan and house plans for 67 Monahansett Road (Map 123 Parcel 97),
Mashpee, MA.
The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the
provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A §6 and the Town of Mashpee
Zoning By-laws. No public notification to abutters was required for this minor
modification.
A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on
Wednesday, March 8,2017 at which time the following members of the Board of Appeals
were present; Chairman, Jonathan Furbush, Vice Chairman, William Blaisdell, Board
Member, Dom DeBarros, Associate Members, Brad Pittsley and Norman J. Gould. Also
present was Building Commissioner, Michael Mendoza.
Mr. Cary Orlandi, Builder addressed the Board stating he needed to clarify the
variances depicted on the site and house plans. He said the original house was demolished
and they kept the existing foundation. Mr. Orlandi said the previous engineer's plan
showed the foundation being 36 ft. 1 inch when the actual foundation is 35 ft. 11.5 inches.
Mr. Orlandi said when the engineer measured the house there might have been some slack
in the tape.
In view of the foregoing, the Board determined the applicants met the criteria for a
minor modification without the need to go through a formal hearings process.Upon motion
duly made and seconded at the Public Hearings on Wednesday,March 8,2017,the Zoning
Board of Appeals voted unanimously to issue a minor modification to the previously
approved Written Finding (FINDING-2016-34). The Board approved and read into the
record a site plan with the latest revision date of 10/12/16 and a house plan with the latest
revision date of 1217116.
1
