Board of Appeals Minutes -July 22, 1998 S, Philipand Chris ine F. M dsen -Request a Special Permit under Section 174-25.1.9 the Zoning By-laws for the construction of a walkway and dock in Abigail's$took on f Amy grown Road (Map 115,Block I7 Property located in an R-3 zoning district at 60 Mashpee,MA. ) Members sitting: J. Regan, R. Nelson, J. Dorgan. Philip and Christine F, Madsen represented themselves. They were told by Conservati Commission to apply with the Board of Appeals first. They stated the decided on the walkway in the particular place where a cut (channel)in the marsh has existed foor ate long time, Mr. Ellis did not approve a float,just a dock. Plans are being draw n up by engineer. Mr. Regan said he was very familiar with the area and that it was very shallow. No comments were received from abutters. Mr. Dorgan moved to grant the variance and special permit. Mr. Nelson reminded the Board that the plans have been changed to exclude the float and recommended that the wording be changed to walkway dock. Mr. Regan stated that the grant should be subject to Conservation and all other agencies' approvals and condition it to findings 1 -5 for I docks. Mr. Nelson seconded. All agreed. M diaone of Ma husetts 1 c. -Requests a Special Permit under Section 174- 25. the Zoning By-laws for permission to expand a cable television relay facility with 1,4S6 of square foot addition on property located in an I-1 .zoning district at 47 Industrial Drive (Map 88, Block 23)Mashpee,MA, Members sitting: J. Regan, R. Nelson, R. Guerrera. Mr, Steven C. Habeeb of Habeeb and Associates and Mr. Chuck Goy of Media On represented the applicant. Design Review agreed on a concrete-type building with a"slit- face"and a brick tone. Design Review requested that trees be planted as a further p screening to the entry and view from Industrial Drive. The expansion will house additional electronic equipment, computers and a space with a wash facility for to take a break. A letter from DPW and the Planning Department were received indicative ng no concerns. Mr. Habeeb made changes with pen on the plan,showing Design Review's requests for additional landscaping. Mr. Nelson moved to grant the special permit. Mr. Guerrera seconded it, All agreed. g eed. Mr, Regan requested the Board reorganize and moved to have Mr. Edward M. G ovo as Chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals. Mr, Nelson seconded. All agreed. Mr Regan ni moved to have Cheryl Haw-ver as Clerk of the Zoning Board of Appeals. ed Nelson g seconded. All agreed. Mr, Guerrera moved to have James E. Regan III as Vice Chairman agreed, of the Zoning Board of Appeals. Mr. Dorgan seconded. All
