TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> Board of Appeals <br /> Minutes <br /> September I1, 1996 <br /> The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting on Wednesday, September 11, 1996 at <br /> 7:30 P.M. at the Carol H. Jacobson Senior Center, 500 Great Neck Road North, <br /> Mashpee. Board members present and acting throughout were Edward M. Govow, <br /> Chairman; James E. Regan III Vice-Chairman; Cheryl A. Hawver, Clerk and Associate <br /> Members Robert G, Nelson, Richard T. Guerrera. Associate Member James M. Dorgan <br /> was present and stepped down from the Board for the hearings on the Mashpee Water <br /> District and James G, Haidas. <br /> Dennis A. Scannell and Richard W. Mell -Request a Modification of Special Permit 91-48 <br /> to allow the construction of a 50 foot by 25 foot addition to an existing commercial <br /> building used for storage and repair. The property is located an I-1 zoning district at 31 <br /> Bowdoin Road (Map 54, Block 9)Mashpee, MA. <br /> Members sitting: E. Govoni, J. Regan, R. Nelson <br /> Ms. Hawver stepped down for this hearing. The Board reviewed plans for the expansion <br /> of the existing building. Mr. Govoni questioned if a Modification of the existing permit or <br /> a new Special Permit was needed and was informed that the Building Inspector had <br /> requested that it be a modification. Mr. Govoni said there would be no storage of <br /> hazardous waste and that the building would be used for the existing well drilling repair <br /> business. <br /> Mr. Regan moved to grant the Modification of the Special Permit. Mr. Govoni asked to <br /> condition the modification that no hazardous waste or gas and oil be stored in the <br /> building. Mr. Nelson seconded. All agreed. <br /> Elizabeth P, and Peter N. Stavru -Request a Variance from Section 174-46.E.3 of the <br /> Zoning By-laws for permission to vary the setback requirement between buildings in an <br /> Open Space Incentive Development on property located in an R-5 zoning district at 28 <br /> Main St. -Unit 40 Stratford Ponds (Map 47, Block 29, Lot 40) Mashpee, MA. <br /> The secretary informed the Board that Mrs. Stavru had asked that the hearing be <br /> postponed to September 25. Mr. Regan moved to postpone the hearing until September <br /> 25. Mr. Govoni seconded. All agreed. <br />
