Ferrell,requesting a Written Finding under §174- <br /> 17 of the Zoning Bylaws to allow the extension of two bedrooms on the second floor, and <br /> extension of the kitchen/dining area on the first floor of a single-family dwelling on <br /> property located in an R-3 Zoning District, (Map 117 Parcel 371), Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper of <br /> general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on December 18, 2015 and December 25, <br /> 2015 a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A §6 and the Town of Mashpee <br /> Zoning By-laws. <br /> Public Hearings were held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at which time the following members of the Board of <br /> Appeals were present; Chairman, Jonathan Furbush, Vice Chairman, William Blaisdell, <br /> Board Members, Scott Goldstein, Dom DeBarros, and Associate Members, Norman J. <br /> Gould and Brad Pittsley. Also present was Building Commissioner, Michael Mendoza. <br /> Jeffrey E. Ryther, P.E., from BSS Design represented the applicant for the <br /> renovation project. At the last hearing on January 13, 2016, the Board continued the <br /> application because they needed clarification from Glen. Harrington, Board of Health <br /> Agent,regarding the load rated integrity of the septic system and informing the homeowner <br /> the options required by a local approving authority. <br /> Mr. Ryther said that the Board of Health signed off on the plans and at some point <br /> when the owner sells,some minor changes will be required for full compliance of the septic <br /> system. <br /> Mr. Furbush read comments from the Fire Department into the record; "The plans <br /> have not been marked with the placement locations for the smoke and CO detectors. The <br /> plans will need to be marked prior to Fire Department approval." This request will be <br /> addressed at time of submittal of the building permit with the Building Department. <br /> 1 <br />
