Dayos: Request a Special Permit under Section 174 <br /> ,P, <br /> 25.1.9 of the Zoning By-laws for the licensing of an existing seasonal dock <br /> on Mashpee Pond in an R-5 zoning district on property located at 30 Baker's <br /> Road (Map 20, Block 5) Mashpee, MA. <br /> Members sitting: M. Makunas, C. Hawver, J. Friel <br /> Engineer David Sanicki represented the applicant and explained that they <br /> are seeking the licensing of a seasonal dock. Mr. Makunas questioned a <br /> possible violation from the Conservation Commission and Mr. Sanicki replied <br /> that Mr. Dayos had cut some of the vegetation on the bank and he has been <br /> asked to replace the grasses. No comments were received from the Conservation <br /> Commission. <br /> Mr. Friel moved to grant the Special Permit. Ms. Hawver seconded. All <br /> agreed. <br /> Robert and Linda Sharkansk -- Request a Variance from Section 174-31 of the <br /> Zoning By-laws for permission to vary the setback requirements in an R-3 <br /> zoning district on property located at 14 Wheelhouse Lane (Map 120, Block <br /> 157) Mashpee, MA. <br /> Members sitting: M. Makunas, C. Hawver, J. Friel <br /> Engineer Brian Zeffenfeld of New Seabury represented the applicant. He <br /> presented plans for a 400 sf addition to the dining area resulting in a 29' <br /> setback. He stated that the lot is in the flood plain and conservation would <br /> only allow the addition in the proposed location. The addition will have <br /> a crawl space and result in 19% lot coverage. <br /> Attorney Richard Terry said. that the addition does not encroach on any other <br /> abutters and presented a letter from Mr. Tobias, an abutter, in favor of <br /> the application. Mr. Friel questioned if the septic system was adequate <br /> and Mr. Zeffenfeld said an inspection was in progress. He also stated that <br /> many of the houses in the area have 20' - 25' setbacks from the street. No <br /> comments were received from abutters. <br /> Ms. Hawver moved to grant the Variance of 11 ' as requested. Mr. Makunas <br /> asked that the landscape drawing be included in the decision. Ms. Hawver <br /> revised motion to request the landscape plan dated April 3, 1992. Mr. Friel <br /> seconded. All agreed. <br /> Edward A. & Martha M. Palank - Request a Variance from Sections 174-31 and <br /> 174-33 for permission to vary the setback requirements in an R-3 zoning <br /> district on property located at 181 Daniel's Island Road (Map 100, Block <br /> 39) Mashpee, MA. <br />
