Mashpee Board of Appeals <br /> December 11 , 1991 <br /> In attendance were William Hanrahan, Cheryl Hawver and Michael Makunas, <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m. John Friel arrived at 7:50 <br /> p.m. <br /> Hearings <br /> Richard Scalo - Requests a Special Permit under Section 174-25.1 .9 of the <br /> zoning by-laws for permission to construct a deck in an R-3 zoning <br /> district on property located at 389 Monomoscoy Road (Map 125, Block 2) <br /> Mashpee, MA . (Owner of record: Barbara J. and Richard S. Scalo). <br /> The applicants were represented by Jack Landers-Cauley, consultant with <br /> Upper Cape Engineering, Mr. Landers-Cauley presented revised plans based <br /> on Conservation Commission modifications. The applicant proposes <br /> changing profile of dock which was destroyed in the hurricane and <br /> constructing new pier on westerly side of the property . It was planned <br /> with minimum obtrusion in order to obtain adequate draft. Ramp will be <br /> removed in fall and replaced in spring. <br /> Mr. Paul Somerville, shellfish warden, stated that this was not a <br /> productive area , He voiced no objection. <br /> Motion for approval by Mr. Makunas, seconded by Mrs. Hawver. All in favor. <br /> Mr. Hanrahan signed the necessary paperwork. <br /> SHR Nominee Trust - Requests a Special Permit under Section 174-25,1 .9 <br /> of the Zoning By-laws for permission to construct a dock, ramp and float <br /> to replace an existing dock, ramp and float in an R-3 zoning district on <br /> property located at 50 Spoondrift Way (Map 112, Block 35) Mashpee, MA. <br /> (Owner or record: Shirley and Ralph.Rose TRS.) Applicants represented by <br /> Dave Sanicki of Cape and Islands Engineering. Mr, Sanicki presented <br /> supplemental plan. Mr. Hanrahan stated that this was a narrow area to <br /> start with. Mr. Somerville stated he found no problem and that the <br /> structure was high enough. However, navigation was a sticking point. Mr. <br /> Makunas stated that the floats were not directly across and Mr. Somerville <br /> doubted the Corp , of Engineers will approve this. Mr. Hanrahan stated it <br /> would be unfair to deny a permit. Mr. Sanicki informed the board it was <br /> there prior to Mr. Rose's purchase. <br /> J <br />
