Board of Appeals Minutes - October 23, 1991 9 .
f
record here we ' d have one heli of a ski slope
on Riverside Road with that distance of 62
feet . So that ' s why I didn ' t pull a bond but
I will pull a bond when I go before the Design
Review Committee with a new plan .
W. Hanrahan : What do you say to that Doug?
D . Boyd : The purpose of a bond is to secure the project
immediately, not ninety days or one hundred
and twenty days . The issue is posting the bond
and not necessarily finishing the landscaping .
What T am saying is it says "you shall post a
bond" .
W . Burtis : We will post a bond .
D. Boyd : I think if you go back over the years Store
' n Lock and up and down 28, they all have
posted landscape bonds . We ' ve only picked up
one over the years, that being Store ' n Lock .
W . Hanrahan : That ' s true . What is the timetable on going
to Design Review? Someone has to get off the
diamond and see that this is done .
M . Makunas : Do you know what you ' re going to do as far as
landscaping that space now that you have it .
W . Burtis : Put in some shrubs and make it look nice . We
have to close the buiding . Every time we go
to do something we get stopped .
M . Makunas ; You 've been stopped in enclosing the building
right now?
W . Burtis : Yes, we had the two sections off and we were
ready to go .
M . Makunas : Doug stopped you from enclosing the building?
Did you stop him from enclosing the building?
He ' s given you approval to do it .
D. Boyd ; He ' s still got to go back to Design Review
with a revised plan .
M . Makunas : You ' ve got to come up with some changes,
whatever the changes are, go before Design
Review, and get on a schedule . You have to
tell us what the schedule is going to be,
otherwise all we can do is confirm the
Building Inspector ' s order.
V . Driscoll : I would like to make a comment on the
enclosing of the building . The Town By-laws
require that the building be enclosed on three
sides, not just the edge that faces our house . .
You went before the Planning Board to try to
have that zoning law changed and they said no
that the building has to be enclosed on three
sides . So I want to make sure that that ' s
part of it .
W. Hanrahan : What ' s the status now.
V . Driscoll : It ' s open on four sides .
W . Hanrahan : Doug, do you have a comment on it . Mrs .
Driscoll says the by- law requires that it be
enclosed on three sides .
