Also, the <br /> legislators are recommending a <br /> $24,000,000 xpansion for early education <br /> and care program and increasing the <br /> appropriation to $109,000,000 in FY2 oo . <br /> 10.2.4 Safe Tr ar sportation Task Force - Mrs. <br /> Lynch said a meeting was held on January <br /> 26th. Issues on bus stops were discussed. <br /> She thanked the Police Department for the <br /> expeditious manner in which a particular <br /> bus stop needed attention. The s cons tt <br /> Island run is going well, however, a <br /> question was raised regarding the late bus <br /> and perimeter drop offs. This issue will be <br /> discussed in the future, <br /> 10.2.5 Personnel Committee - Mr. -Paxton said <br /> there has leen no meeting and will met <br /> when needed. <br /> 10.2.6 Boosters Club -- Mrs. Lynch thanked the <br /> parents for their efforts at the Art-I -Gras <br /> hold on December 31, 1998. The Boosters <br /> continue working at basketball games. Also, <br /> they have donated over $600 for chorus <br /> uniforms, bought indoor track naafis, <br /> donated money to purchase warm--up suits <br /> for the winter sports. They will be assisting <br /> financially and physically at the high school <br /> Science Fair. There will be a dance at <br /> - ino's on March 6th , currently working on <br /> senior scholarship foundation. A long- <br /> tee goal is a concession broadcast dcast booth <br /> t the football field. A major fundraiser will <br /> be announced soon. <br /> 10.2.6 Education Foundation -- Mrs. Cook said the <br /> next meeting will be held in April. They are <br /> also helping with the 2 1 st Century grant. <br />
