MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> FEBRUARY 12, 1999 ' <br /> Minutes <br /> Attendees: Chairwoman Theresa Cook, Stephen Paxton, Maryanne Macdonald, <br /> donald, <br /> Kathleen Lynch, and Janice Mills. Also in attendance was Interim <br /> Superintendent of Schools William C. MacDonald and School Attorney William <br /> F. Butler. <br /> Mrs. Cook called the executive session to order. There was no action, <br /> therefore, Mrs. Cook called for an open meeting. <br /> Mrs. Cook and Mfrs. Lynch excused themselves from the executive session. <br /> Discussion centered on the high school cleaning. <br /> Motion made by MIs. Macdonald to terminate the services of Chapman Brothers <br /> Cleaning Service effective immediately for the following reasons: <br /> 1 failure to have worker's compensation insurance for his employees, <br /> 2 no performance bond since the first year of the contract <br /> 3 performance has been r eficie t <br /> Motion was seconded by Mrs. Mills. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> At this point, Mrs. Cook and Mrs. Lynch returned to the open meeting. <br /> Ms. Macdonald asked about advertising for Mr. Feldman's principal's position <br /> at the Coombs School. IIIb. MacDonald said he has a memo forthcoming that <br /> deals with that issue as well as a replacement high school assistant principal <br /> to fill Mr. o 's position. <br /> MIs. Macdonald expressed concern regarding serving on the high schoolsub- <br /> committee. She reported that she has not been invited to meetings and <br /> therefore does not feel welcome to attend. She asked to resign from that sub- <br /> committee. <br /> - <br /> committee. <br />
