I IASH EE SCHOOL COMMITTEE <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> APRIL 7. 1999 <br /> Minutes <br /> Attendees: Chairwoman Theresa Cook, Stephen Paxton, Maryanne Macdonald, <br /> Kathleen Lynch, and 'Janice Mills. Also in attendance were Mashpee Teachers' <br /> Association members Sheryl obuchon and Ted O'Rourke, Interim Superintendent of <br /> Schools William C. MacDonald and School Attorney William Butler. <br /> The executive session was called'to order by Mrs. Cook at 9:00 p.m. <br /> Topics of discussion focused on the following: <br /> • A grievance on instrumental music lessons. Mrs. Obuchon discussed the <br /> history of events of the instrumental music lessons this year. <br /> After her presentation, Mrs. obuchon and Mr. 01ourk exited the meeting <br /> room at which time the School Committee deliberated the issue. Upon thein <br /> return, Attorney Butler informed Mrs. Obuchon and Mr. O'Rourke that the <br /> School Committee decided to take no action on their grievance. <br /> Mr. MacDonald asked permission' to rea vertise the high school custodial <br /> positions which would include no benefits until July 1, 1999. <br /> Discussion on Mr. iuery's contract. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Lynch, seconded by Mrs. Mills, to authorize Mrs. Cook <br /> to sign IVIS-. lu ry's contract upon agreement of terms. <br /> ROLL CALL NOTE: In favor - Mrs. Cook, Mr. Fakton, Ms. Macdonald, Mrs. <br /> Lynch, and Mrs. Mills; opposed - none. <br /> On. a motion made by Mr. Paxton, seconded by Nis.
