r IL MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE SPECIAL MEETING JULY 2 , 1999 5 Milne Attendees: Chairwoman Kathleen Lynch, Maryanne Macdonald, Theresa Cook, and Stephen Paxton. Janice Mills moved at 8:05 p.m. Also m* attendance was Superintendent of Schools Sherwood W. Fluery and Bookkeeper Gail Soorgie. Mrs. Lynch called the special meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in high school conference room B 103. Motion rade by Ms. Macdonald, seconded by Mrs. Cook, to move mnto executive session at 7:01 l .m. to discuss collectivearg ire' g. RoU call Note: In favor - Mrs. Lynch, lis. Macdonald, Mrs. Cool, and Mr. i Paxton; opposed- none. At 7:18 p.m. the special meet g resumed with interviewing Richard Dalrymple, a finalist for Business Manager in the school system. Mr. Fluery Mntroduce l Mr. ah-ym le who gave an overview of his past experience. The School Committee thea Mntervie ved Mr-. Dimple. After Mr. Dimple's interview, Mrs. Scorgie updated the Committee on the � F' 99 year-end financial report. Mr. ,Fluery updated the Committee on the findings of custodian Lisa Cooper regarding rnamtenance of the schools. In her report, FIs. Cooper noted the extreme need to attend to the floors at the high school. Mr. Fluery will follow- up on her suggestions with Mr. Cook. Mr. Fluery rioted the School Committee's retreat date is set for August 16th. This retreat will address School Con ittee goals for the. upcoming year. At this point of the special meeting, Mr. Fluery introduced Edgard R. Mc gown, second finalist for Business Manag r. Mr. McCown outlined his background and experience after which the Committee posed questions to �. After the interview, a motion was made by Mrs. Mills,s, seconded by Ms. Macdonald, to move into executive session to discuss negotiations at 9:00 p.m. Roll Call Note* In favor - rs.
