Kudos also to the <br /> elementary schools for student behavior improvement. <br /> As a result of a recent building walk-around of all schools, lir. <br /> Pluery gave an overview ofthe recent improvements completed <br /> FY98 through FY99 and current concerns for the buildings and <br /> grounds in the school district. They were as follows: <br /> Coombs School: <br /> Recent Improvements- <br /> Parking areas seam sealed, entry road patched <br /> • Rooftop make-up air units replaced <br /> 0 Improvements to interior ductwork for increased air circulation <br /> • carpeting replaced in main office and library <br /> • water heater replaced with high efficiency boiler and holding <br /> tank <br /> • Building wired for computer network <br /> Outdoor basketball court <br /> Concerns: . <br /> • All paved areas are failing, bus travel lanes are too narrow, <br /> curbig is needed to control erosion, lower parking lot was <br /> never top-coated <br /> • corridors, railings and.structural steel need painting <br /> • Replace four atmospheric boilers with two high efficiency units <br /> • Ceiling in gyne needs painting <br /> • Inside access to rooftop needed for'routine maintenance <br /> 0 High maintenance wooden playground equipment <br /> • Paint classrooms <br /> QjAashe Schools: <br /> Recent Improvements: <br /> • Main entry flooring replaced <br /> a Rooftop make-up air units replaced <br /> • Atmospheric gas boiler for hot water replaced with high <br /> efficiency unit using % reimbursement program <br /> • Corridors painted <br /> Replace carpeting with vinyl Mile in 10 classrooms <br /> • Replaced 12 rooftop exhaust fan <br /> • Building wired for computer network <br /> • Environmental air compressor replaced in bid process) <br /> • Van accessible parking added <br /> 9 Scam sealed parking lots <br /> Concerns: <br /> • vercrowding.
