C - MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE- REGULAR MEETING -' NOVEMBER 8. 1999 PAGE 3 7.4 Facilities Report - School Facilities Supervisor Don' Cook submitted the following m nthly report for November: The School District is in the Process of adding a facilities contingency plan for hazardousmaterials emergen i . workshopoutlined the proper responses in the vent of an emergency is scheduled for the first week of December. All school administrators will be attending. As a follow-up to the workshop, system-wide building audit will take Place during the December break. Coombs School: The wooden Playground reeds to be replaced soon. Some of the attachments have been removed or blocked ed off. The manufacturer is no longer in business so the replacement Parts are not available. Quashnet Schools: The environmental air compressor will be replaced during the December break. (Rebuilding the existing 2 l-year--old unit is no longer feasible. System-Wide: Chris N rcott of N r ott Landscape Management will begin a three-year grounds contract on January 1, 2000. A more flexible schedule for turf maintenance has been worked out that is better suited to the individual needs of each sporting event. Also, a cost estimate for continuing infield maintenance through the sunnier months at the high school and elementary schools will be available soon. Mrs. Lynch if any fundraising .activities have taken place for the wooden playground at the Coombs school. The answer was "No." Also, kudos to Mr. Cook from the Committee as Mashpee being the only school district that uses the Integrated Pest r Management approach where least toxic solutions are used. 7.5 Correspondence from Finance Committee dated ' October 26, 1999 - Mr. F'luery noted responses have been :. made to the Finance Committee's request for the following: 1) End--of=-Year expenditure of$298,778 2 Nein staff and salaries 3 Kindergarten enrollments
