Meeting Called to Order by Chaff nnan Lynch at 7:10 p.m. <br /> Quashnet River School Library. <br /> I . School Councils FY2 -2001 Bud et Discussion: <br /> Spccial Education: k <br /> As a result of the increases in the number of students receiving services, <br /> Grace Day,Director of Special Education recommended the following <br /> positions to be budgeted for the FY 2001 school year: <br /> 1.4 FTE Speech Therapist: .increase in caseloads, an 8% increase in <br /> pre-school children VAth special needs, an <br /> increase in the nurnher of students who need <br /> speech therapy throughout school system. <br /> 1.0 FTE School Adjustment Jr Sr High School, increase in rnum er of <br /> Counselor: special needs students identified and moving <br /> into district, need for additional SAC <br /> system-wide. Possible grant assistance. <br /> 1.0 FTE School Psychologist: Increased referrals,need for assessments, <br /> assistance with testing, re-valuations. <br /> .4 FTE Behavioral K-3 level consultant to assist teachers and <br /> Consultant./Teacher: staff with behavioral issues. Potential t <br /> combine with another position. <br /> .2 FTE Adapted Physical Increase will provide assistance to reduce <br /> Education Teacher: additional special education costs. <br /> 2.0 FTE Inclusinearning Inclusion coverage at NMS & Quashnet <br /> Resource Center Teacher: School systems. <br />
