S._Map Painting - Coombs <br /> School Interim Principal Demise Fronius addressed the Committee <br /> regarding this project to be done at no charge by Pioneer <br /> Playground traps. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Cook, seconded by Ms. Macdonald, to <br /> approve the painting on the Coombs School playground. <br /> VOTE* Unanimous <br /> 7.19 Educational Foundation Members - Motion made by Mrs. <br /> Cook, seconded by Ms. Macdonald, to accept the members of the <br /> Educational Foundation as printed. <br /> VOTE:' Unanimous <br /> 'DTII. Specifically Assigned/ 8.1 MCAS Update - In her memo, Mrs. Patricia P rol l i said <br /> Unfinished Business the MCAS testing scheduled for April 12, 2000 for Grades , 8 and <br /> 10 will take the long composition'portion of the exam. <br /> The May 15-31st time frame will feature a continuation o <br /> English/Language Arts testing as well as mathematics, history and <br /> social sciences and science and technology. <br /> School systems will be randomly chosen to participate in grade <br /> reacting, grade 5 history and social science, grade 6 science and <br /> technology or grade 6 mathematics. School systems will be notified <br /> about which tryout they will participate in by the end of March. <br /> Principals and test coordinators will be involved in a Department of <br /> Education training session of March 24th in Hyannis. The tryouts <br /> will be held during the May 15-3.1 testing cycle. <br /> Mr. Fluery said he met with representatives from Plato, a software <br /> testing and curriculum company. <br />
