MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE REGULAR MEETING - MARCH 15, 2000 PAGE <br /> IX. New Business 9.1 Audio-Visual Status in School District - Lorne Winfield <br /> addressed the School Committee on repairing the current software <br /> and hardware problems with the AMX 'T'V control system. He said <br /> a representative from HB Communications spent time here on <br /> March 10th to go over the system. <br /> Also, Mr. win field said the cable television system that carries the <br /> picture for the - MX and regular cable television service is still in <br /> need of repair. Mr. Winkfield is in the process of securing quotes <br /> and consultations on repair of the RF cabling and wiring in the <br /> high school. <br /> Mr. Winkfield also informed the Committee of the need to purchase <br /> new equipment at the Quashnet Schools. <br /> X. Committee Reports 10.1 Sub-Committee Deports <br /> 10.1.1 Negotiations -- Mrs. Lynes said this would be discussed in <br /> executive session. <br /> 10.1.2 High School-There is a meeting scheduled for March 2 1 st. <br /> 10.1.3 lementary School- A meeting needs tb be established. <br /> 10,1.4 Curriculum - Mrs. Cook said these were discussed earlier <br /> in the meeting. <br /> 10.2 External He port s <br /> 10.2.1 Cape Cod Collaborative - Mr. Fluery mentioned the <br /> Collaborative meeting held prior to the Cape & Islands <br /> Superintendents meeting held on March 10th. A proposal <br /> for an alternative school was discussed. <br /> 10. .2 Leisure Services - Mrs. Mills was unable to attend the <br /> recent meeting. <br /> 10.2.8 Legislation - Earlier in the meeting, Mrs. Lynch noted the <br /> successful "Day on the Hill" she attended on Manch 8th and <br /> 9th. During those days, Mrs. Lynch, Ms. Macdonald, and <br /> Mrs. Cook had a chance to talk to Representative Nancy <br /> Caffyn on many issues. <br /> 10.2.4 Safe Transportation 'Task Force- Mrs. Lynch said a meeting <br /> reeds to be scheduled soon. <br /> 10.2.5 Personnel Committee - Mr. Paxton said there has been no <br /> meeting.' <br /> 10.2,6 Boosters Club - Mr. McCown met with Mr. Nichols of the <br /> Boosters Club this week to discuss the broadcast booth. <br />
