ti 5 f 11 ASH EE SCHOOL COMMITTEE E ECUTIVE SESSION KAY 159 2000 Minutes Attendees: Chairwoman Kathleen Lynch, Janice Mills, Theresa Cook, Bruce "Ben" Caswell, and Donna-Jean Lopez. Also 1n attendance were Superintendent of schools Sherwood W. Fluery and School Attorney William Butler. The executive session was called to order by Mrs. Lynch at 7:07 p.m. Where was discussion of the status and reasons for expected-non-renewals of staff members. Notification of non-renewal was given by today, May 15, 2000. Mr. Fluery asked the coe to consider renegotiation of his contract. Mr. Fluery left the meeting room at 7:25 p.m. Discussion followed on renegotiation of Mr. Fluery's contract. Mr. Fluery returned to meeting room at 9:07 p.m. Motion made by Janice Mills, seconded by Bruce "Ben" Caswell, to amend Mr. Fluery's contract as f o STs: Section 2.2 One-year rollover clause added, if no notice is given by dune 30, 2001, the contract is automatically extended to June 30, 2003. 0 Section 3 During the fiscal yeare r g July 1, 2000 the Committee shall pay the Superintendent an annual salary 9, 1 . During each subsequent fiscal year of the term ofthis contract, the Committee shall increase the Superintendents salary by four percent over his salary the previous fiscal year. Section 4 is elirnir ated, the $ 2.,000,, annuity mnount is now included in the Superintendent's salary. _ Section 7 changed to read that the Superintendent maintains a valid Massachusetts certiftcation under- G.L. e, 7. § 38G,-authorising his employment as superintendent of schools. 0 Section 8.2 Amount reduced to $ 2,000. per year, $ 500. is now included in the Superintendent's dent's sa kw . • Section 9.1 30-day maximum accumulation of vacation clays. The Superintendent will have a work year of 225 clays. 9 Section 11 Evaluation results will he presented annually at the regular April school committee meeting. 0 Section 12.2 the word drug is charmed to substance.
