MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTE <br /> REGULAR MEETING <br /> JULY 25, 2000 <br /> Minutes <br /> Attendees: Chairwoman Janice Mills, Theresa Gook, Berg Caswell, and Kathleen Lynch. <br /> DonnaJe n Lopez arrived at 7:12 p.m. Also in attendance were Superintendent of Schools <br /> Sherwood Fiuery and Business Administrator Russ Mc own. <br /> I. Call Meeting Mr's. Mills called the regular meeting to order at 7:02 p. . in high <br /> to Order school conference room B 103. <br /> II. Approval of 2.1 Reorganization/Regular Meeting-June 7, 2000 - Motion <br /> Minutes made by Mrs. Cook, seconded by Mr. Caswell, to approve <br /> the minutes of the reorganization/regular meeting of June <br /> 7, 2000. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 2.2 public Hearing, FY01 Budget - June 7, 2000 - Motion <br /> made by Mr. Caswell, seconded by Mrs. Gook, to approve <br /> the minutes of the Public Hearing regarding the F` 1 <br /> budget held on June 7, 2000. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 2.3 Executive Session - June 7, 2000 - Motion made by Mrs. <br /> Lynch, seconded by Mrs. Gook, to approve the minutes of <br /> the executive session held onJune 7, 2000. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> .4 Special Meeting - June 29, 2000 - Motion made by Mrs. <br /> Gook, seconded by Mr. Caswell, to approve the minutes of <br /> the special meeting ofJune 29,, 2000. <br /> VO'C'E: Unanimous <br /> III. Public Forum Mrs. Mills recognized the students who attended this meeting to <br /> discuss the Memorial Courtyard at Mashpee High School. <br /> Michael Lyons and Michael McKay introduced themselves as <br /> members of the Glass of 2002 who proposed establishing a <br /> memorial courtyard at Mashpee High School. In his letter, Mr. <br /> Lyons noted that "the courtyard would pay tribute to those <br /> students, faculty and staff who exemplified the true spirit of <br /> Mashpee High School." <br /> Mrs. Gook said the high school sub-committee mittee had discussed this <br /> issue at one of their previous meeting where the concept was <br /> approved by the committee. <br /> After some discussion, it was decided to bring this issue back to <br /> the high school sub-committee for more details and logistics. <br /> After that meeting, return to the School Committee for their <br /> approval. <br />
