t <br /> MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE - REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 13, 2000 PAGE 7 <br /> 10.1.3 ElementaKy School - Mrs. Lynch reported the <br /> discussion items at their latest meeting included <br /> the playground; policy on volunteers - in the <br /> classroom with their own children (will remain with <br /> the current policy); music and chorus are going <br /> along; absentee policy differences between <br /> elementary and high school students to b <br /> reviewed. <br /> 10.1.4 Curriculum - Mrs. Cook said 'this committee will <br /> maintain the current policy wherein a community <br /> member remainsn the committee for the five-year <br /> revision cycle. <br /> 10.1.5 Finance - Touring their recent meeting, Mrs. Cook <br /> recalled discussing the following Coombs School <br /> issues: RVAC units, the playground, and the <br /> parting lot. The FY02 budget process was <br /> discussed; Mr. McGown will meet with the Town <br /> Accountant, Town Treasurer, and Town Personnel <br /> Department to discuss ironing out glitches in <br /> bringing the accounts payable issue up to date; <br /> and grants that were discussed earlier. Also, Mr. <br /> Caswell said the Quashnet School cafeteria tables <br /> were discussed, and it was decided to order an <br /> additional 10 half- pieces. Therefore, a motion was <br /> made by Mrs. Lynch, seconded by Mrs. Cook, to <br /> order these units. VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 10.2 External Rep <br /> 10.2.1 Cape Cod Collaborative - Mr. Caswell attended <br /> their latest meeting in which. a. new alternative <br /> education prpgra m at the Lyle Middle School on <br /> Otis was discussed in which therapeutic services <br /> were added. Also a $4,100,000 core budget was <br /> approved. Mr. Maley extended special thanks to <br /> the Mashpee custodians for their assistance in the <br /> move from the Coombs School to the Quashnet <br /> School over the summer. The Annual Board of <br /> Directors visitation Day is slated for October 4th. <br /> All Committee members are invited to attend. <br /> 10.2.2 Leisure Services - Mrs. Lopez attended the meeting <br /> held on August 29th in which she said two neer <br /> School Committee liaisons need to be found. A <br /> notice will be sent home with the students asking <br /> for volunteers. Also, otobrfst will be on <br /> Saturday, October 7that the Mashpee Commons. <br />
