MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER , 2000 Minutes es Attendees: ChairpersonJanice Mills, 'Theresa Cook, I onnaJean Lopez, and Kathy Lynch. Ben Caswell arrived at 8:15 p.m. Also in attendance were Superintendent ofSchools Sherwood Fluery and Business Administrator Russ McGo rn. I. Executive Motion made by Mr-s. Lopez, seconded by Mrs. Cook, to call Session the executive session to order at 6:30 p.m. in the Quashnet School'Teachers'Lounge. Roll Call Vote: In favor- Mrs. Mills, Mrs. Cook, and Mrs. Lopez. Mrs. Lynch arrived at 6:40 p.m. and Mr. Cas re , teras absent at this time. II. C 1l Meetin'g Mrs. Mills called the regular meeting to order at 7:25 p.m. to order in the Quashnet School Library. V1I. student Advisory Due to time constraints, Kyle Hunt gave his report from the Council Student Advisory Council. In it, he reported that the previously over-crowded lunch situation has been corrected at the high school. Also, the National Honor Society Community roject and Bile Drive are upcoming events. Everything is going well at the high school. III. Approval of 3.1 Regular Meeting- October,11, Zoo - Motion made Minutes by Mrs. Cook, seconded by Mrs. Lopez, to approve the minutes of the regular- meeting held on October 11, Zoo . VOTE: Unanimous 3.2 Exe cutiye Session_ October 1. 1, 2000 - Motion made by Mrs. Cook, seconded by Mrs. Lopez, to approve the minutes of the executive session held on October 11, 2000. VOTE: Unanimous IV, Public Forum Frederic Blythe addressed the Committee regarding a proposal to construct two football/lacross fields and two soccer fields and new parking lot on land adjacent to the high school in the near future. In future gears, he proposed adding a swimming pool, hockey arena, community building, Leisure Services and school Administration office to be built on the high school grounds. After discussion on this project, Mrs. hills stated that before any agreement is made, detailed plans would be needed for review.
