' S <br /> i <br /> MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE—REG U LA R MEETING—JAN UAI ,2401 PACE <br /> 11.2 External Ike its <br /> 11.2.1 Cal2e Cod Collaborative — Mr. Caswell reported there will be a 9.62% <br /> increase in student tuition (approximately $1,700 per student) <br /> commencing next year. There will be no meeting in January. <br /> 11.2.2 Leisure Services—Mrs. Lopez said Mr. Richard Martini was appointed <br /> by the Leisure Services Advisory -Council as the School Committee <br /> liaison. On January 13, 2001, there will be a "Coffee House" for <br /> grades 9-12. <br /> 11.2.3 Safe Transportation Task Force— Mrs. Lynch said a meeting has been <br /> scheduled for January 9th. Also, the location of all school buses must <br /> be moved due to issues at illaggi 's. This will be discussed at the <br /> next meeting. <br /> 11.2.4 Personnel Committee—Mrs. Lopez was unable to attend the meeting, <br /> however,meetings will be held on the third Thursday of each month. <br /> 11.2.5 Boosters Club— Mrs. Mills reiterated the gnat job the Boosters do t <br /> promote goodwill in the Town. Also, the Flying Falcon was set up in <br /> the Mashpee Common on New Year's Eve thank to the dedication of <br /> parents and those affiliated with the Boosters Club. <br /> 11.2.6 School Lunch Committee — Mrs. Cook said a meeting needs to be set <br /> up. <br /> 11.2.7 Indian Education — Mrs. Lopez said there was a meeting held on <br /> December 1 I 1 which Mr. Flu ry attended also. Another meeting has <br /> been scheduled for Sunday, January 141" where Mr. Fluery will discuss <br /> MCAS issues. <br /> 11.2.8 Health Adyisory Committee—Mrs. Lopez said there has been no <br /> meeting, however, a grant was written for the tobacco tax but no <br /> official advisement as}ret as to acceptance. <br /> X11. Other The PLATO software program currently in use at the high school is to be set u <br /> at the Quashnet School as well as establish on-site and offsite locations, i.e.,the <br /> Boys and Girls Club, the Public Library, and the Tribal Council office. It will <br /> run four days a weep and Saturdays. More details will follow_ Kudos to the <br /> instructor at the high school for her efforts. <br /> 111. Executive Session Motion made by Mrs. Cook, seconded by Mr. Caswell, to rove into executive <br /> session to discuss a personnel issue at 9:05 p.m. <br /> Doll Call Vote: In favor— Mrs. Mills, Mrs. Cook, Mrs. Lopez, Mr. Caswell, <br /> and Mrs. Lynch;opposed—none. <br />
