1 A UPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE <br /> SPECIAL MEETING <br /> FEBRUARY 2 , 2001 <br /> Minutes <br /> Attendees: h irpei-s n Janice Mills, Theresa Cook, and DonnaJean Lopez, Ben Caswell arrived <br /> at 6:50 p.m. Kathleen n Lynch was absent this evening. Also in attendance were Superintendent of <br /> Schools Sherwood Fluery and Business Administrator buss McG wn. <br /> Mrs. Hills called the special meeting to order at 6:37 p.m. in the Quashnet School Library, <br /> Mrs. Mills reported the Finance Committee had voted an additional $850,000 to the School <br /> Department's budget for FY2. <br /> Discussion followed on health benefits and the continuing issue of school building needs that <br /> need to be addressed in the near future. <br /> Mrs. Cook reiterated that Leisure Services uses the school facilities for their programs, however,, <br /> the School Department continues to incur the utility costs. At this point, discussion followed <br /> regarding facility usage. It was decided to revisit the "Joint Community Use Agreement" <br /> between the School Committee and hard of Selectmen. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Cook,, seconded by Mr. Caswell, to adjourn the special meeting at 7:30 <br /> p.m. <br /> VOTE: Unanim us <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Mari orie R.
