I <br /> MA HPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE—REGULAR MEETING—AUGUST 1, 2001 PAGE <br /> 11.1.3 Elementary School—A meeting will be scheduled with Mrs. Mills, Mrs. Reis <br /> and Mr. Tippo. <br /> '11.1.4 Curriculum—Mrs. Lopez noted there will be a diversity training session for all <br /> teachers on Tuesday,August 21,2001 at 9:00 a.m. <br /> 11.1.4.1 Summer Reading and Crapping Calculators — Mrs. Cook expressed <br /> concern regarding a letter that went borne to parents which stated "Students <br /> are encouraged to purchase booms early." She stated no parents or students <br /> should have to purchase any summer reading or graphing calculators. They <br /> should be included in the school department's budget. <br /> 11.1.5 Finance Committee — Mr. Tarlow included a document entitled, "Business <br /> Practices of the Mashpee Public Schools" which listed the procedure for <br /> payment of invoices. He pointed out specifically the "Preparation of <br /> Warrants" noting the School Committee will carne into the office and sign <br /> warrants on Wednesdays day between the hours of 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. unless <br /> otherwise noted. <br /> 11.2 Externalleports <br /> 11.2.1 Cape Cod Collaborative—Mrs. Reis said them-meetings will commence in <br /> September. <br /> 11.2.2 Leisure Services(switch of r m —Mr.Caswell said there was not a quorum <br /> for their July 1't meeting <br /> 1 1.2.3 Safe Transportation Task Force <br /> 11.23.1 Sandalwood Bus Stop—This issue was discussed earlier in the <br /> meeting. <br /> 11.2.4 Affirmative Action C ornmittee—Mrs. Lopez said the meeting was cancelled <br /> and the next will be scheduled for September. <br /> 11.2.5 Boosters Club—Mr. Caswell informed the Com rnittee the -hour relay that <br /> was scheduled for August and held in conjunction with the Dorian Grace Brain <br /> Center has been cancelled due to lack of participants. <br /> 11.2.6 School Lunch Committee—This issue was discussed earlier. <br /> 11.2.7 Indian Education—Mrs. Lopez said there has been no meeting scheduled. <br /> 11.2.8 Health Advisory Committee—Mrs. Lopez reported there will be a meeting <br /> slated for September. <br /> X11.
