Public Forum There was no public forum input this evening. <br /> V. Acknowledgments 5.1 Correspondence from Frank Schultz, NI AA, dated April 4., 2002 — Mrs. <br /> Cook read aloud a letter from Frank Schultz, Chairperson of the National <br /> Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association, regarding Athletic Director <br /> Michael Home's new designation as Certified Master Athletic Administrator. <br /> Mrs. Cook acknowledged the following students as Cape Cod Tunes All Stars: <br /> Bill Bellatty Boys Basketball <br /> Chad Laue Boys Basketball Honorable Mention <br /> Derek Murphy Boys Basketball Honorable Mention <br /> Tasha Lopez-Fitts Girls Basketball <br /> Megan Santos Girls Basketball Honorable Mention <br /> Shannon Merrifield Girls Basketball-Honorable Mention <br /> Mrs. Cook asked theCommittee's permission to move up the next four topics. The <br /> Committee agreed. <br /> 10.5 wastewater Correspondence from Fire I artm nt—Letter from Chief Baker <br /> dated April 23,2002—Chief Baker, accompanied by Marina Brock from the Barnstable <br /> County Health Department and Glen Harrington of Mashpe 's Health Deparatment, <br /> addressed the Committee to formally request permission to utilize the Mashpee High <br /> School Septic Treat Plant for disposal of"gray" water generated at the fire station. <br /> The "gray" water is the runoff from the washing of the department's vehicles. Chief <br /> Baker said recently the fire department had its 5,000- gallon washwater storage tank <br /> emptied and taken to Barnstable for disposal for a fee of$500. Chief Baker said the <br /> storage tank emptied about three to four tines a year and would be financially more <br /> sound to transport the wastewater to a local facility. <br /> The Committee agreed to work with Chief Baker but Mrs. Cook, once again, cautioned <br /> that the school's sewage treatment plant is not be suitable for washwater disposal as <br /> sewage is treated differently than washwater. <br /> 10.4 High School Science Fair — High School Science teacher Suzanne Avtges <br /> addressed the Committee on four research projects which were won by the following <br /> students: <br /> First Place- $1,500 scholarship from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute to Kyle <br /> Hunt for The Ideal Conditionsfor the Shipment of Opsanus Toru <br />
