Public Forum There were no public comments this evening. <br /> Mrs. Mills asked the Committee's permission to have 8.7, "FBLA Out-of-State <br /> Trip to New York"neat on the agenda. The Committee agreed. <br /> . " FBLA Out-of-State Trip to New York — On behalf of the Future <br /> Business Leaders ofAmerica (FBLA), high school teacher Carol Riley <br /> addressed the Committee introducing FBLA students Frank Per s, Chris <br /> Gorezyka and Eva Ellis,to ask permission to take members of this club to visit <br /> Wall Street in April 2003. The purpose of the trip is to experience first-hand <br /> how the business world operates. The tour will be customized specifically to <br /> enhance the l ashpee Highs School's business curricula as the majority of the <br /> students participating in this trip will be business students. <br /> Motion made by Mr. Caswell, seconded by Mr. Thomas, to approve the FBLA <br /> trip to wall Street. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> Mr. Fluery introduced Greg Moore, the new high school assistant principal for <br /> grades 9-12. <br /> V. Acknowledgments 5.1 Letter from Kim Palmer dated June 18 — Mrs. Mills read aloud <br /> Mrs. Palmer's thank you letter to School Facilities Supervisor Brad Tripp and <br /> his staff for all of their help p with the"Art Garden Grant Project." <br /> .2 Memo from Catherine Laurent dated June 14,2002 — DPW Assistant <br /> Director Catherine Laurent thanked the School Department for their assistance <br /> in the Upper Cape Household Hazardous Product HHP Collection held <br /> recently at the high school. <br /> 5.3 Fetter from Gail Harman dated June 1 , 2002 — Coombs School PTO <br /> President Gail Hannan outlined three goals that were a success this year. They <br /> were: 1 strengthen the home/school connection; 2 become a financial <br /> resource to the school to help pay for items the school was unable to expend; 3) <br /> enhance community spirit. Mrs. Hannon said all three goals were <br /> accomplished but none would have been possible without the assistance of <br /> Coombs School principal Mrs.Louise Doyle. <br />
