In order to <br /> } upgrade outdated equipment in the audio-visual department, Mrs. Mills hopes <br /> Ms. Murphy will be able to receive more supplies and equipment than she did <br /> last school year. <br /> 8.3 Business Administrator's Monthly,Deport — Mr. Tarlow outlined the <br /> latest status of the FY02 budget. He stated in his memo "'as a result of the <br /> closing of numerous purchase orders there is approximately$34,000 remaining <br /> in the original appropriation and possibly as much as $40,000 remaining in the <br /> supplemental funds ($158,100) s nt by the Department ofEducation." Mr. <br /> Tarlow listed options available to spend remaining funds. Mrs. Mills suggested <br /> that Mrs.Parolski and Mr. Fluery prioritize Mr. Tarlov's recommendations. <br /> Mrs. Mills suggested that administrators and department budget preparers <br /> spend their money in September and October so they are not told in April and <br /> May that their money has been spent elsewhere. An example she gave was this <br /> year's volunteer Brunch and its lack of funding. <br /> In his food service report, Mr. Tarlow noted a $5,451 profit for the 2001-2002 <br /> school year. <br /> 8.4 Enrollments — Mr. Fluery noted the final enrollment counts as of June <br /> 2 , 2002 reflected a 2,255 total student enrollment in grades preschool through <br /> Grade 1 . <br /> . Out-of-School Suspensions — In grades 7 and 8, there were <br /> suspensions respectively. In grade 9, there were 11 suspensions; grade 10, ; <br /> grade 11, 2; and in grade 12, there were no suspensions. <br /> 8.6 Science Curriculum revision — Mrs. Parolski outlined the pre-K <br /> through grade 12 science curriculum revision. Mrs. Parolski acknowledged the <br /> members of the committee for the input with kudos to Shirley Larsen for <br /> coordinating all of the Pieces and placing therm in order in the final document. <br /> Motion made by Mr. Thomas, seconded by Mr. Caswell, to approve the pre- <br /> kindergarten through Grade 12 Science Curriculum Revision. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br />
