Specifically 9.1 "Curriculum Development Process"Policy_Revision—Guidance—Mrs. <br /> Assigned/ Parlski described the creation of a guidance curriculum and incorporate it into <br /> Unfinished our current curriculum policy. <br /> Business Motion made by Mr. Caswell, seconded by Mr .:Rei ,to incorporate <br /> "Guidance" into the current"Curriculum Development Process" Policy IF-R. <br /> VOTE; Unanimous <br /> X. New Business Finance Committee member Kathy.Lynch stressed the importance of parental <br /> attendance at the special town meeting to be held on December 9, 2002. <br /> Although this special town meting is solely regarding the Senior Citizens <br /> Center, it will be beneficial to parents in the future to attend. Notices will be <br /> sent hone and information will be displayed on the educational charnel. <br /> Mrs. Mills questioned the audience regarding tonight's School Committee <br /> location which was held in the "Arrowhead"' f the High School Library. <br /> Consensus was favorable in holding other- meetings there. It was decided that <br /> the December School Committee will be held in this same location. <br /> XI. Committee Reports 11.1 Sub-CommitteeRe l-ts <br /> 11.1.1 Negotiations -- 1 Ir. Caswell said the k ickoffMeeting with Unit C will <br /> be held on November 12 and 'Unit A on November 14, 2002. <br /> 1 I.].2 14igh School—There has been no meeting. <br /> 11.1.3 Elementary School — Mr. Caswell said there has been no meeting <br /> scheduled. <br /> 11.1.4 Curriculum/MCAS -,- Mrs. Par lski said the first meeting for the <br /> Health/Physical Education curriculurn committee has been slated for <br /> November 18"' at 3:00 p.rn.; the Music curriculum committee will meet <br /> on November 19"' at 3:00 p.m. <br /> Regarding MCAS, Mrs. Par olski said there was a teachers' Professional <br /> Development Day held on November "'where MCAS issues were past <br /> of the agenda. She commended Aran English and Joy Blackwood for <br /> their efforts and sLlpp rt for coordinating the day's events. <br /> 11.2 External Reports <br /> 11.2.1 Cape Cod Collaborative — Due to Mrs. Lopez' absence this evening, <br /> there was no report. <br /> 11.2.2 Leisure Services — Mrs. Par lskl said she met with Mr. Thomas and <br /> Gus Frederick recently to discuss `nuts and bolts" issues, i.e., security <br /> at the high school and a"greeter"at the high school location. <br />
