Call Meeting Mrs. Mills called the regular meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. in the Mashpee <br /> to Order High School Library. <br /> II. Executive Session Motion made by Mr. Thomas,seconded by Mrs.Lopez,to move into <br /> executive session at 6:31 p.m. for the purpose of negotiations. <br /> Roll Call vote: In favor—Mrs.Mills,Mr. Thomas,Mr. Caswell,and Mrs. <br /> Lopez; opposed—none. <br /> The regular meeting reconvened at 7:07 p.m. <br /> Mrs. Mills noted that tonight is Mr. aswell's last meeting as a member of <br /> the Mashpee School Committee and thanked him for his dedication to the <br /> community. <br /> 0111. Approval of Minutes 3.1 regular Meeting—April 2, 2003—Motion made by Mr. Thomas, <br /> seconded by Mrs. Lopez,to approve the minutes ofthe regular meeting held <br /> n Apri 12, 2003. <br /> VOTE; In favor — Mrs. Mills, Mr. Thomas, and Mrs.-Lopez; abstained — <br /> Mr. Caswell. <br /> .2 Executive Session — A ril 12003 — Motion made by Mrs. Lopez, <br /> seconded by Mr. Thomas, to approve the minutes of the executive' session <br /> held on April 2, 2003. <br /> VOTE- In favor — Mrs. Mills, Mr. Thomas, and Mrs. Lopez; abstained — <br /> Mr. Caswell. <br /> Iv. Public Forum Finance Committee member Kathy Lynch addressed the Committee <br /> regarding the lack of attendance by Parents and school department <br /> employees at the Tern Meeting held on May �'. She said that out of about <br /> 70 Mashpee residents who are employed by the school system, only about <br /> seven attended the meeting. She continued, "where were yon? Parents <br /> have to cone out to one meeting a year. I've never seen such <br /> parent/employee apathy." <br /> Mrs. Lynch noted that other town departments were forced to take FY0 <br /> budget outs while the school received $300,000. She said it would have <br /> been easy for someone at town meeting to make a notion to reconsider the <br /> school's budget and lever the $16,784,751 proposed figure. She stressed <br />
