MAS14PEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE—REGULAR MEETING—AUGUST 20., 2003 PAGE <br /> fall during the school vacation week and these may be rescheduled at a later <br /> date. <br /> .2 Pop Warner Field Update—Mr. Tripp commended Karl McClintock <br /> and his volunteers;for organizing and working on this project. <br /> 9.3 Coombs School Ceiling U12d .t — Mr. Tripp said he located two <br /> vendors who submitted quotations for this project. The award was made to the <br /> vendor with the lowest quote. The work will begin on August 21, 2003. <br /> X. New Business 10.1 Po I icy Manu .l—Mrs. Cook and Mr. Brown addressed th is issue stating <br /> that this document has not been reviewed for several years. Mr. Brown <br /> suggested two Committee members, students, parents, and staff members <br /> volunteer to serve on this policy review committee. <br /> Mrs. Cook and Mrs. Lopez volunteered to serve on this policy review as the <br /> School Committee representatives. <br /> XI, Committee Reports 11.1 S ub-Com m ittee Ito orfs <br /> 11.1.1 Negotiations Mr. Thomas stated [knit C has been settled but not <br /> ratified as yet. <br /> 11.1.2 High School — Mrs. Cook reported on the joint meeting held with <br /> representatives from "Concerned People of Mashpee Public Schools" and <br /> school administrators. Representatives will meet with Mr. Brown and the <br /> Housemasters n a monthly basis. <br /> 11.1.3 Elementary School—There has been no meeting. <br /> 11.1.4 Curriculum/MCAS — Mrs. Parolsl i said the recently-approved <br /> curriculums are ready for distribution. Also, there has been no information <br /> regarding MCAS from the Department nt f Education. i <br /> 11.2 External Reports <br /> 11.2.1 Cape Cod Collaborative—There has been no meeting. <br /> 11.2..2 Leisure Services—No report this evening. <br /> 11.2.3 Safe Transportation Task Force—Mrs. Cook said the bus mute meeting <br /> was held recently and routes will be published in the August 23rd "1ashpee <br /> Enterprise" and in the August 29"' edition of the "Upper Cape C dd r." Also <br /> meeting was held this week regarding bus "guidelines."' These"guidelines" for <br /> parents and students will be published soon. <br /> 11.2.4 Affi rm at We Action Committee—Mrs. Cook said there is a meeting <br /> slated for September 9, 2003. <br />
