MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE <br /> FE'9ANCE MEETING <br /> NOVEMBER 19, 2003 <br /> Minutes <br /> Attendees: Chairman Peter Thomas, Theresa Cook, DonnaJ an Lopez, Janice Mills, and Mollie <br /> Reis. Also in attendance were Superintendent of Schools Patricia Parolski and Business Office <br /> Supervisor Ellen Ferguson. <br /> 1. Call Meeting to Order—Mr. Thomas called the finance meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. In <br /> the Office of the Superintendent in the Quashnet School. <br /> . Executive Session — Motion made by Mrs. Cook, seconded by Mrs. Reis, to more into <br /> executive session at 6:31 p.m. for the purpose of personnel and negotiations. <br /> Roll Call Vote: In favor— Mr. Thomas, Mrs. Cool, Mrs. Lopez, Mrs. Mills, and Mrs. <br /> Reis; opposed—none. <br /> The meeting reconvened at 7:07 p.m. <br /> . FY04 Budget Upd ate—Mrs. Ferguson updated the Committee on the status of the FY04 <br /> Budget. Mrs. Ferguson said the MUN1S payroll training is ongoing with full <br /> implementation slated for January 2004. <br /> Mrs. Cool emphasized that the recent resignations ofthe former Town Treasurer, the <br /> Assistant Town Treasurer, the MIS Administrator and the recent retirement <br /> announcement of the Town Accountant will add to the extra work load in the school's <br /> business office in order to assist the tern in its MUNIS functions. <br /> . CIP Items — Discussion followed on the Capital Improvement Program CIP iterns the <br /> school department would like to propose. They included the following* <br /> I. School Security <br /> 2. Floor Covering(Coombs and Quashnet) <br /> Computers <br /> 4. wheelchair Van <br /> . ICC Pavement <br /> . Alterations/Renovations to the high school and Q uashnet School <br /> . High School air conditioning <br /> . Mini bus <br /> . Coes School additional special education areas, i.e., office space, bathroom <br /> facilities <br /> 10. District-wide central storage facility <br /> 11. Maintenance/grounds <br /> 12. Replacement of NVAC I, II, and IV in Quashnet School gym, cafeteria and <br /> kitchen <br /> 13. Replacement of one maintenance truck <br /> 1 . School-wide electronic filing system <br />
