Acknowledgments 5.1 M.1 ch ae I Horne—Moderator for National Federation ofState <br /> School Associations C nferen e, 'December 13-16, 2003 — Mr. Thomas noted <br /> Mr. Horne's invitation to be the moderator at this conference noting that it was <br /> an honor for Mr. Horne to be asked to serve as this year's moderator. <br /> .2 Michael Horne—MIAA Sportsmanship Summit, November 21, 2003 — <br /> Mr. Thomas noted that Coach Shawn Chi oine, Tara MacDougall (field <br /> hockey), Ken Marsters (ice hockey), Cortney Roberts (cheerleading), and Matt <br /> Skane (three sports) were recipients of the MIACharrYpions in <br /> Sportsmanship. <br /> 5.3 Cape Cod Five Foundation Mini-Grant Award — Mr. Thomas <br /> acknowledged Patricia L eBoer and Robin Leggatt for their efforts in obtaining <br /> for the S.O.S. Club ($400) and the Dative American & Colonial Art,Projects <br /> ($350). <br /> VI. Communications There were n o"Communications"to the Committee this evening. <br /> VII. Student Advisory Student Advisory Council representative Tia Averett informed the Committee <br /> Council of a blood drive on December 5#h, winter sports began, Progress Reports its wil l <br /> be sent home on December 1 5th, and the Senior Class is currently selling <br /> Christmas trees on weekdays from 2:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. and weekends from <br /> 9:00 a.m.-8:00 <br /> At this point, Mr. Thomas asked the Committee's permission to move up three <br /> agenda items due to audience participation. <br /> 8.5 Ea&Ie Scout Prosect at Coombs—Gordon Black od—Coombs School <br /> Principal Louise Doyle introduced Eagle Scout Gordon Blackwood who <br /> proposed building a playhouse at the Coombs School as part of his Eagle Scout <br /> project. The playhouse is modeled similar to one currently in a classroom. <br /> After his presentation, a motion was made by Mrs. Cook, seconded by Mrs. <br /> Mills, to approve Gordon Bla kwood's Eagle Scout Project at the Coombs <br /> School. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> ,9 HighSchool New and Improved Progress Deport, 2003-2004. — High <br /> School teachers Mary Durham, Cheryl Monroe and Suzanne Avt es addressed <br /> the Committee n this new document which is now on one page. Mrs. Durham <br /> gave kudos to Guidance Counselor secretaries Maureen Goldsmith and <br /> Donn eIIa P cknett as well as to Network Administrator Joe AugenbIiek. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Cook, seconded by Mrs. Mills, to approve the new high <br /> school Progress Deport. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br />
