.. I MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE REGULAR SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETING JANUARY 7, 2004 Minutes Attendees: Chairman Peter Thomas, Theresa Cook, DonnaJean Lopez, and Mollie lli .Deis. Janice Mill .arrived at 6:35 p.m. Also in attendance were Superintendent of Schools Patricia P r l ki and Business Office Supervisor Ellen Ferguson. I. Call Meeting Mr. Thomas cal.1ed the regular meeting to order at 6:30 p.rn. in th e Mashpe o Order Nigh School Library. II. Executive Session Motion made by Mrs. Cook, seconded by Mrs. Lopez,to move into executive session for the purpose ofpersonnel and negotiations at 631 p.m. Doll Call Vote: In favor—Mr. Thomas,Mrs. Cook, Mrs. Lopez, and Mrs. Reis; opposed—none. The regular meeting reconvened at 7:12 p.m. III. Approval of Minutes 3.1 Regular and Finance Meeting December 10, 2003 —Motion made by Mrs. Mills,seconded by Mrs. Cook,to approve the minutes ofthe regular and finance meeting held on December 1 , 2003. VOTE: In favor — Mr. Thomas, Mrs. Cook, Mrs. Mills and Mrs. Reis; abstained—Mrs. Lopez. 3.2 Executive Session — December,1 , 2003 — Motion made by Mrs. Cook, seconded by Mrs. F els, to approve the minutes of the executive session held on December I O, 2003. VOTE: In favor — Mr. Thomas, Mrs. Cook, Mrs. Mills and Mrs. Reis; abstained—Mrs.Lopez. IV. Public Forum There was no public input at tonight's meeting. V. Acknowledgments 5.1 Parent Letter elated November 28,2003 Regarding"OP I.,Pr ram"— Mr. Thomas noted this letter from a parent whose child attends the PI Program. The parent commented on the value ofthis new program and how, so far, it has benefited her son. .2 Mr. Thomas commended Athletic Director Michael Horne on his receiving the Cape Cod International Athletic Association Basketball Officials 2003 Sportsmanship Award.
