i <br /> C <br /> MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE MITTEE---FINANCE MEETING—MARCH 1 , 2004 PAGE <br /> Mrs. Cook discussed the budget concerns during 1999 when a school override was discussed and <br /> was later defeated at Town Meeting. <br /> Mrs. Mills also discussed past history with school department's budgets over the years. Mrs. <br /> Cook and Mrs. lulls both reiterated that the above-mentioned proposed cuts reductions/cuts are <br /> fluid numbers and cuts at this point In time. <br /> Mrs. Cook also stated that $1,500,000 is required to educate 27 special education students for <br /> neat year. <br /> Attendees were urged to attend upcoming Board of Selectmen and Finance Committee meetings <br /> to voice their opinions on the school department's budget figure. W. Thomas, Mrs. Cook and <br /> M rs. Mills stressed the importance of all registered voters to attend Town Meeti.ng and vote. <br /> 4. Other — Motion made by Mrs. Cook, seconded by Mrs. Lopez, to approve the minutes of the <br /> February 2 , 2004 finance committee meeting. <br /> VOTE: [ nanim us <br /> .
