MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE FINANCE MEETING JUNE 16, 2004 Minutes Attendees: Chair Theresa Cook, DonnaJean Lopez, Janice Mills, and Peter Thomas. Mollie Reis � was absent this evening. Also in attendance were Superintendent ofSchools Patricia Parolski i ant! Business Office Supervisor Ellen Ferguson. 1. Call Meeting to Order - Mrs. Cook called the finance meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. in the Quashnet School Library. . Executive Session — Motion made by Mrs. Lopez, seconded by Mr. Thomas, to move into executive session at 6:31 p.m. for the purpose of negotiations and personnel. Roll Call Vote: In favor — Mrs. Cook,, Mrs. Lopez, Mrs. Mills, and Mr. Thomas; opposed — nne. recess was called at 7:01 p.m. The finance meeting reconvened at 7:06 p.m. The following agenda topic was moved up due to audience participation: . Notices n the Web Page — Sean Moroney—Network Administrator Sean Moroney addressed the Committee regarding the parental notices on the web page. He said this capability"is up and running"and parents will be able to d ownl oad the information commencing in S eptem ber 2004_ ..1 CIP Update — Mr. Moroney suggested using a portion of the CIP funding to purchase networking ing equipment for the labs in ""Technology Row." This would increase network throughput (speed up Web Access for Internet-based instruction) and better utilize the new PCs enhanced performance. . Curricula Revisions .1 Family and Consumer Science — Mrs. Parlsli outlined this curriculum with kudos t those participating eurricuIum.members. Motion made by Mrs. Lopez, seconded by Mr. Thomas, to accept the Family and Consumer Science Curriculum. VOTE: Unanimous 3.2 Art Curriculum —Motion made by Mrs. Lopez, seconded by liths. Mills, to accept the Visual Arts Curriculum. VOTE: Unanimous budget Update—Mrs. Ferguson gave ars overview of the final weeks ofthe FY04 budget statim that as many as possible pa gable bills will be c mpleted by June 3 0, 2004.
