I S MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE—REGULAR AND FINANCE MEETING T JULY 14, 2004 PAGE Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Lopez , to accept Mr. Horn 's above recommendations on rearrangement of the sports program at Mashpee High School. VOTE; Unanimous 8.5 History and SocialSciences Curriculum, Pre-K — Grade 12 Mrs. Parolsl i reviewed this curriculum with kudos to community members Sarah Daley and Jerry Blu , ngarten for their support and effort. Motion made by Mrs. Lopez, seconded by Mrs. Mills,to accept the History and Social Sciences Curriculum,Pre-K—Grade 12. VOTE: Unanimous Mrs. Lopez invited community members to participate in the upcoming curriculum meetings during FY05 which will be Language Arts (English/spelling/reading)and Technology Education. The order of the regular agenda resumed at this point. .1 Personnel — Mrs. Parolsli updated the Committee on the following personnel issues: Retirement.-. E tireme r .- El len Ferguson—Business Officer Supervisor(effective October 3 1, 20 04) Mrs. Cool, Mr. Thomas and Mrs. Parolsl i commended Mrs. Ferguson for her work over the past two years in the Business Office. i A, ire rrm tis: Theresa Marney—Half time art teacher(.5 FTE— I year only,replacing Coleen Stulb Kristen Wentworth—Art teacher(1.0 FTE— 1 year only, replacing Marian Colman) Felly Pena—Spanish teacher 1.0 FTE, replacing Anne Phillips) Angela Sanchez—Spanish teacher(1.0 FTE, replacing> aissy Duffy) Michael Looney—Technology teacher(1.0 FTE) .2 Administrative Reports — Mrs. Cools commended High School principal Ira Brown for the graduation ceremonies this year. 8.3 Enrollments — District enrollments as of the last clay of school (June 17th) were as follows: Coombs School—499; Quashnet School—660;Mashpee High School—981; totaling—2,140. 8.4 Out-of-School Suspensions — High School suspensions as of June 17, 2004 reflected the following: Grade 7, ; Grade 8, ; Oracle 9, ; Grade 10, ; Grade 11, 2; Grade 12, 3.
