MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE <br /> SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH FOCUS GROUP AND FINANCE MEETH G <br /> JANUARY 1 , 2005 <br /> Minute <br /> Attendees: Chairman Theresa Cool, Mollie Reis, and Janice Mills. Peter Thomas arrived at 5:15 p.m. <br /> InnaJean Lopez was absent this evening. Also in attendance were superintendent search consultant IIT. <br /> Joanne Rys from New England School Development Council (NESDEC) and Business Administrator <br /> Peter Roche. <br /> I. Call Meeting to Order — Mrs. Cook called the superintendent search focus group meeting t <br /> order at 4:30 p.m. in the Quashnet School Library. <br /> Mrs. Coale turned the meeting wort shop over the Ms. Rys who outlined the current status of the <br /> superintendent search through IESEC. She said there have been 26 requests for applications. <br /> The following dates were set for superintendent interviews/site visits: <br /> March 19-March 2 , 2005 --first round of interviews <br /> March 28—Finalists announced and site visits to districts <br /> April 4, 5,and 7—Finalist interviews <br /> Week of April l l —Site visits by School Committee <br /> April 2 —Appointment of new superintendent <br /> The Committee tools a recess at :10 p.m. <br /> The finance meeting convened at 6:30 p.m. in the Quashnet School Library. <br /> 2. Business Administrator's Report—1 r. Roche reported" o real major problems at this point." <br /> 2.1 FY05 Budget Transfers — Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Thomas, t <br /> approve the FY5 budget transfers as reflected in Exhibit A. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> School Lunch Program—Mr. Roche said there is currently a surplus of$169,000 in the <br /> revolving account. <br /> 3. FY06 Budget Update—Mr. Roche reported on the following: <br /> a muting was held with the Town Manager, the new Director of Finance, Superintendent, <br /> and administrators to review the FY06 budget <br />
