The 1 lashp e High School football team defeated Abington who <br /> played in this year's high School Super Bowl toumament. <br /> Mrs. Bradshaw acknowledged wledged the Fall Sports Awards held last.evening at the <br /> high school. She noted the girls' cross country team has the highest grade point <br /> average ofall girls' teams. <br /> I. Communications 6.1 Correspondence from Governor Mitt Romney dated October 27, 2005— <br /> Mrs. Mill mentioned a response from Governor Romney as a result of a letter <br /> she sent to him regarding the "No Child Left Behind" Act. He said this Act is <br /> n the federal level and governors have no jurisdiction over federal matters but <br /> he would forward Mrs. Mills' letter to the Department ofEducation. <br /> 6.2 Correspondence from Commi5sioner David Driscoll_dated November <br /> , 2005 — Mr. Driscoll acknowledged receiving Mrs. Mills' letter on the- "N <br /> Child Left Behind" Act. He said he will compile all suggestions into the state's <br /> recommend ations for N LB, which will he reauthorized in 2007. <br /> VIS. Student Advisory Student Advisory Council representative Laura Calvin was unable to attend <br /> Council tonight's meeting, however, she forwarded a report to Mrs. Bradshaw prior t <br /> the meeting, Mrs. Bradshaw reported on the following high school events: <br /> VIII.
