Coombs School: <br /> e January 121h Arts and Crafts Family Night 6:00—7:30 <br /> e January 26h Campfire Story Night 6:30 <br /> March 3f d Event at Ball eade with more infornua <br /> � t ori to follow. <br /> Mr. Thomas mentioned that discussions on Unit A negotiations were underway and that <br /> the Unit C negotiations will be held later on in the month. <br /> Mr. Thomas stated that he attended a meeting with Leisure Services, which has a very <br /> strong committee and they plan on looking at theby-laws to see if things can be moved a <br /> lot quicker and possibly getting more input from the community. A verypositive <br /> meeting was held. <br /> Mrs. Bradshaw spoke on the fees generated by Leisure Services forrou rofit . when <br /> P p <br /> community groups use the school, there is no charge. There areroul s that rent the <br /> audrtor"um like the (Performing Arts Center) and the committee has a policy on the use <br /> of the school building and a fee schedule. Leisure Services has been in control of this so <br /> far and she feels that the School Committee should take back the "for ro if' groups to <br /> collect the fees, Mrs. Bradshaw mentioned that she would be talking to the Town <br /> Manager and hopefully the School Committee would be able to take back the scheduling <br /> and the collection ofthe fees. <br /> Mrs. lulls mentioned that there was a meeting t the High School that she attended <br /> regarding a survey done by two Mashpee men on any and all safety issues that exist at the <br /> high school. They prepared detailed maps, pictures taken in and outside of the entrances <br /> exits, etc., of the building and presented their recommendations and suggestions on the <br /> safety issues that exist or meed to be addressed at the school. <br /> Mrs. Mills met with Mr. Scott, the Food Service Director, in a meeting with the Menu <br /> Advisory Committee and he presented a sketch of the guidelines that the Federal <br /> govern e t are requiring now for healthier food nd snags being served in schools. <br />
