r <br /> L <br /> I <br /> MAS1IPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE <br /> FINANCE MEETING <br /> January 18, 2006 <br /> Minutes <br /> Attendees: Chairman Janice Mills, Peter Thomas,as, Maryl ose Grady, and Becky Roinkey. Also in <br /> attendance were Superintendent of Schools Ann Bradshaw and School Business Administrator Peter <br /> Roche. <br /> i <br /> 1. Call Meeting tin to order — Mrs. Mills called the finance meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. in the <br /> Quashnet School Library. <br /> 11. Business Administrator's trator' Report- Mr. Roche discussed his report noting the following: <br /> 2.1 F6 Budget Update: <br /> 1, the previous problem with the MINIS finance software has been corrected and Mr. <br /> Roche will be inputting the approved transfers and journal entries "within the next <br /> fear days." <br /> 2. the small deficits reflected in the Coombs School and high school expenses are <br /> being corrected. <br /> . a large part of the Quashnet School expense surplus has been reserved to pay the <br /> balance of the textbook adoption. <br /> . the costs of the operating the special education vans have been higher than <br /> budgeted and are being monitored. <br /> . expenses for private evaluations at the Coombs School and high school have been <br /> higher than budgeted. A budget transfer to correct this has been approved and will <br /> be implemented. <br /> 6. due to a newly-approved vary driver contract, salary costs for special education <br /> drivers and monitors are significantly higher than budgeted. Also there has been all <br /> increase in the number of bus runs. <br /> 7. utilities and special education out-of-district tuition costs continue to be monitored. <br /> 2.2 F 06 Bud et Transfers — Mr. Thomas made a motion to approve FY06 budget <br /> transfer #01-06-01 in the amount of $2,446.00.
