IASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE—REGULAR MEETING —NAY 3, 2006 PAGE <br /> This newly-created position would fall under the Unit B salary schedule and <br /> funded under the Project Adjust grant. After discussion, a notion was made <br /> by lairs. Grady, seconded by Mrs. l omk y, to approve creating an Assistant <br /> Special Education Director. <br /> VOTE; Unanimous <br /> .2 Aden in istrativ I —There were no commentson the reports. <br /> .3 Enrollments — Mrs. Bradshaw informed the Commiftee of the <br /> following district enrollments: Coombs School -- 476; Quashnet School — <br /> 574; Mashpee Nigh School — 993 for a total district count of 2,043. There <br /> are currently 47 Mashpee students attending Cape Cod Tech. <br /> 8.4 Out-of-School Suspensions — These reports reflected the following <br /> number ofsuspensions during the month ofApril: Oracle 7, 1; Grade 8, ; <br /> Grade 9,2; Grade 1 , 4; Grade 11, 2; Grade 12; 1. <br /> 8.5 School Choice 2006-2007 School Year — Motion made by Mr. <br /> Thomas, seconded by Mrs. Grady, for Mashpee Public Schools not to <br /> participate to School Choice for the 2006-2007 school year. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 8.6 Youth Disk Behavior Survey, Middle School — Mrs. Grady <br /> requested this Middle School survey regarding health behavior b <br /> distributed in grades 7-8 as well as a previous ly-voted health survey for <br /> grades 9-12. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Grady, seconded by Mrs. Rornkey, to approve <br /> distribution of the above-mentioned surveys. <br /> NONE: Unanimous <br /> Mrs. Bradshaw noted the following: <br /> The Coombs School sign dedication held on April 7`h <br /> • Chris Kelly's Senior Project of a Blood Drive on May 10th from <br /> a.m.-1 p.m. <br /> • The Post Prom Committee is looking for help <br /> Internet safety presentation on May t' in the high school auditorium <br /> School Committee's Parent Coffee on May 18'h regarding <br /> "Transitions"from 6:00-7:00 p.m. <br /> 0 This is "Teacher Appreciation week."' Mrs. Bradshaw expressed <br /> her thanks and appreciation for all the teachers do in Mashpe. <br /> 0 firs. Grady noted this is also "Nurses Week." <br /> IX.
