MAS PBB SCHOOL COMMITTEE REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 3, 2007 Minutes Attendees: Chairman MaryR.ose Grady, Peter Thomas, Becky R m ey, Janice Mills, and Bill McNamara. Also in attendance were Superintendent of Schools Ann Bradshaw and School Business Administrator Ira Brown. I. Call Meeting to order Mrs. Grady called the regular meeting to order at 6:25 p.m. in the Quashnet School Library. Motion made by Mr. McNamara, seconded by Mr. Thomas to move into executive session at : o for the purpose of litigation, and negotiations. Roll Call V In favor- Mrs. Grady, Mr. Thomas, Mrs. R mkey, Mrs. Mills, and Mr. McNamara; opposed-none. The regular meeting reconvened at 7:10 p.m. Mrs. vieira and the Acapella Choir from Mashpee Nigh School performed three songs- "Everything I oven', `In These Delightful Pleasant Groves' and `America the Beautiful'. The students who performed were Brittany Bankston, Chelsea Ogg, Kristen Guranich, Alyssa Letsch, Brock Bill, David Place, Andrew Reichel, Tire Reichel and Jason vieira. 11. Public Forum Mr. Myers asked for a follow-up on the FY08 budget. Mrs. Grady informed him that the budget would be covered under the section of Specifically Assigned/Unfinished Business. Former School Committee member Mrs. Kathy Lynch addressed the School Committee regarding recent article that have been in the newspapers. She stressed that in the Past, School Committees mittees had worked hard to ensure full day kindergarten, no charge bussing, and class size reduction along with other items. Mrs. Rornkey stressed that a lot of research and community effort had gone into this budget process as well.
