y <br /> 9.2 Administrative Reports- Mrs. Bradshaw presented the <br /> administrative reports from all three schools. Mrs. <br /> Bradshaw explained that Mr. Tripp's report included a <br /> letter from the Community Preservation Committee. The <br /> the track resurfacing was approved and the application for <br /> synthetic turf was denied. Mrs. Grady asked for a follow- <br /> up on the IAEYC accreditation. <br /> 9.3 Enrollments- Enrollments are as follows for June 2007. <br /> Kenneth C. Coombs School 486, Quashnet School 567, and <br /> i Mashpee High School 950. <br /> 9. <br /> Out o School Sus ensi ons- Jure suspensions were as <br /> follows: Grade 7, 9; Grade 8, ; Grade 9, ; Grade I o, 3; <br /> Grade 11, o; Grade 12, 3. <br /> 9.5.1 Release for Mashvee High School- Mrs. <br /> Day explained that the High School was requesting early <br /> release days for professional development. Mrs. Grady <br /> explained that she had difficulty with this proposal as the <br /> extended day was to have additional time for learning for <br /> students. There was also discussion regarding conferences <br /> at the high school. Mrs. Bradshaw asked if the committee <br /> anted to hold this issue until the August meeting. A decision was <br /> made to postpone a decision until the next meeting. <br /> 9.5.2 lust dna rr gf school to be half dad of school.-Mrs. Mills <br /> made a motion, seconded by Mr. Marcelli to approve that the last <br /> day of school be a half day. <br /> VOTE; Unanimous <br /> 9.5.3. Start and End Tunes- Mrs. Bradshaw reviewed the start and <br /> end times of each school. Mr. Marcelli stated that studies have <br /> shown Haat early start tunes are not good for learning. <br /> 9.6 Three Year Budget- There was discussion about the three year <br /> budget. Mr.l arcelli pointed out that under the program <br /> improvement narrative there was a typo in the word 'strengths'. <br /> The committee asked for clarification on some of the lure <br /> items. <br /> Mr. Marcelli motioned to accept the three-year budget with <br /> all corrections/typos corrected. Mr. Bailey seconded the motion. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> Mrs. Bradshaw thanked Mr. Funk and all the office staff for their <br /> hard work. <br /> School Committee Regular Meeting July 18, 2007 <br />
