14-2.10 Environmental Committee- Mr. Marcelli stated he had <br /> attended a meeting recently. He had shared what the schools are <br /> doing and that the Environmental Committee was very impressed. <br /> There was discussion of starting an Environmental Committee <br /> Club at Mashpee High School. He stated that if the school started <br /> a club the Mashpee Environmental Oversight Committee would <br /> donate 100. <br /> Mr. Marcelli made a motion, seconded by Mr. Bailey to have a <br /> Mashpee High School Environmental Club and to obtain an <br /> visor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> XV. Other There was discussion by the committee about an article in the <br /> newspaper about some Mashpee High School students. Mrs. <br /> Grady stated she felt saddened those students don't Feel life they <br /> are heard. Ms. Souza agreed to touch base with those students. <br /> Mrs. Mills asked Ms. Souza to remind students that the committee <br /> is always open to hearing any request. <br /> Mrs. Bradshaw discussed that MCAS scores will he made public <br /> tomorrow, and the A P will he inmid-October. <br /> Mrs. Bradshaw informed the Committee that Mrs. Kett is looping <br /> in to making Mashpee an SAT test site. <br /> The Cape Cod Collaborative was awarded a grant for almost a <br /> million dollars. This will involve member districts, of which we <br /> are one. Three teachers from grades 5-12 will be able to <br /> participate in a professional development opportunity. <br /> Mrs. Mills congratulated Mr. Hyde on the birth of his sixth chip. <br /> Xv1.
